
Men take note. Buckwheat is packed with chromium which if your loved one is deficient she may be showing signs of irritability, sugar cravings, mood swings, and PMS. Don only an apron and whip up this love bowl pronto.
PMS Lady Love Porridge
Makes 2 serves. Takes 15 mins but worth it
3 tbsp raw organic buckwheat
2 tbsp quinoa
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1 tbsp flaxseeds
100ml organic coconut milk, full-fat please
200ml water
1/2 orange freshly squeezed
1 tbsp raw organic virgin coconut oil
1 organic banana, chopped
2 tbsp raw local honey / brown rice syrup / organic maple syrup
2 tbsp toasted mixed seeds/nuts, handful of seasonal berries & raw cacao nibs optional but yummy
Pop the buckwheat, quinoa and coconut into a medium pot. Add flaxseeds, water, coconut milk, orange juice and coconut oil. Gently heat the porridge stirring regularly for 15 mins. Add more coconut milk/water if necessary. When ready and you hear her moving upstairs pour into a bowl and top with chopped banana, nuts/seeds, berries and drizzle with your choice of extra sweetness. Serve with an understanding look and no apron.
